Doreen mckenzie
Doreen who sang 2nd soprano for several years with the Woodbridge Community Choir passed away the evening of July 21, 2021 after a valiant seven month battle with liver cancer. Barbara motley
Barbara the wife of former director of the Woodbridge Community Choir Linwood Motley passed away on January 26. She also sang in the choir for a time that was cut short due to medical problems. Click on link to see obituary.
Mark Orahood
Mark was a loyal supporter and member of the Woodbridge Community Choir and he provided guitar accompaniment to WCC for several years. Word has been received that he lost the battle with cancer and passed away on the afternoon of November 17, 2020. More details will be provided later.
Paul Esch Duvall
Nona's husband Paul was a stanch supporter of the Woodbridge Community Choir and served as an iconic passenger train conductor MC for one of the choir's earlier concert series. He and his wife lived most of his life in the Washington, D.C. area except for a brief period of a few year in Colorado from which they moved back to Woodbridge just last year.

Linwood Stratton Motley III
Linwood actively participated in the choir for several years as an outstanding tenor, piano accompanist, assistant director and director. His first season as the director of the choir was for Christmas 1982 after which he served the choir for several years to follow in various capacities.
He passed away at home under hospice care on December 6, 2019. He was buried at Maury Cemetery, 2700 Maury Street, Richmond, VA 23224.

William (Bill) Edward Morse
Bill Morse sang in the choir for several seasons along with his wife Vickie. Then Bill continued to support the choir during concerts by helping with the sales table and helping out as needed with setup and tear-down.
He passed away while surrounded by family and friends on November 11, 2019 at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC near their vacation home in Rutherfordton, NC.
Burial will be in Arlington Cemetery at a date to be announced.

Rest eternal grant to him, O Lord; and let light perpetual shine upon him.
May his soul, and the souls of all the departed, through the mercy of God,

Sam Heermans
Samuel H Heermans, 83, of Dumfries, VA, died February 4, 2019, at Sentara Potomac Hospital. Lt Col Heermans was a transportation officer with the US Army Transportation Corps, retiring in 1981. He continued in a similar capacity with the US Civil Service following his military retirement.
Sam was a member of Immanuel Anglican Church in Woodbridge, VA where he served in many capacities. He was also an active member of several community organizations and particularly enjoyed singing with church and community choral groups.
Preceding him in death were his first wife Nancy P Heermans, his parents William H Heermans Jr and Eleanor H Heermans, sisters Jane Heermans Proud and Mary Lou Heermans Welin, and brother William H Heermans III. He is survived by his wife Karen E Heermans of Dumfries, daughters Vondea Heermans Nixon (John R) of Farmville, VA, Jean Heermans Saunders (Billy) of Tappahannock, VA, son Samuel H Heermans Jr (Janna) of Norman, OK and brother Jan P Heermans (Elinor) of Denver, NC. Also surviving are grandchildren John Nixon, Natalie Saunders Solak, Kaitlin Saunders, Brian Heermans, and Zachary Heermans.
